Why do I need to be a current IATSE 485 member to gain full access to the website?

Many pages of this website contain proprietary information belonging to IATSE 485, therefore its access must be limited to current IATSE 485 members.

How do I inquire about becoming a member of IATSE 485?

If you are currently working in show business and would like to become a member of IATSE 485, please contact the Business Agent (BA) in your area. There are currently two BA areas in Arizona: BA North, metro-Phoenix and Northern Arizona; and BA South, metro-Tucson and Southern Arizona.

What is the website registration process?

To register for access to the Members area of this website click on the REGISTER button on the previous page. When you complete the registration process you will be sent an email asking you to confirm your email address - HOWEVER, and this is a BIG HOWEVER: at the same time you are asked to confirm your email, a request will be sent to the website administrator to verify that you are a current member of IATSE 485. Before you will be able to confirm your email address you must be approved by the administrator - this may take up to 24 hours or longer. If you try to confirm your email address before being approved by the administrator, it will appear as if you have not registered. If this happens, please try again in 24 hours. Unforntunately the system does not send you an email following the administrator's approval - but you WILL receive an email following your confirmation (which, again, can ONLY be done following the administrator's approval). This second email, automatically generated by the system, will provide you with a temporary password. Once you log in using the temporary password you may change the password to something easier to remember.

How come I can not confirm my account after registering?

Most likely you have not yet been approved by the website administrator, please try again in 24 hours. Do not delet the confirmation email, it contains the link you will need to follow in order to confirm your account. If you lose this email the website administrator will need to delete your account, and your registration process will have to be repeated - even if you have been approved by the administrator.

How come my password does not work, I copied it directly from the email?

For security reasons, the system will not accept your temporary password if you have copied and pasted it directly from the email. The password IS case sensitive, so carefully jot down the password and hand-enter it when asked.
